The infamous virus Mimail.L is the latest variant of a class of worms that attempts to rob credit card details by conning users into believing that they are receiving a pornographic attachment. If the user fails to respond an additional email is sent claiming that the users’ card has been used for purchasing child pornography and their PC is hijacked to attack other web sites. Mimail.L was detected and stopped by the Advascan system up to 48 hours before traditional anti-virus software updates were available.
