Q: How do I know that the service works?
A: Before any new customer is required to sign up for our service we typically set up an initial trial which can last up to one month. During this time the customer can become familiar with the performance of the system and its administration.
Q: What happens when a virus is detected?
A: The infected Email is held in your secure quarantine storage area and a notification is sent to your domain administrator, the sender and the intended recipient of the message. The domain administrator may view message headers, the beginning of the message and delete messages from the quarantine storage as required.
Q: Can Advascan™ detect viruses not listed in antivirus vendor's database i.e. unknown to antiviral community at the current moment?
A: Yes, that's what our Assessor™ module is for. A proprietary rules-based system for heuristic analysis of email, Assessor™ detects and traps viruses - even those that may never have been previously identified.
Q: What happens when a spammed message is detected?
A: That email is trapped and deposited in your Spammed Messages quarantine area. The domain administrator may view the message headers, and forward it to recepient or delete the message from quarantine storage as required.
Q: I used anti-spam service from other ISPs and was loosing important messages which were falsely identified as spam. Will I have the same problem with Advascan?
A: No, spam management is totally under your control. We use a scoring technique which assigns a spam score to each message going through Advascan. You can adjust the default settings to suit your requirements. If still in doubt you can go the Spam Quarantine section of the Management Tool' look through all the trapped messages and then forward to your address or delete as required.
Q: We are fully protected by anti-virus scanners running on desktops and also on internet gateway. Why would we need Advascan solution?
A: We are not trying to replace any existing anti-virus systems you may already use. We are providing an extra level of very high end protection for all of your e-mail communications to make sure that no virus ever comes close to your network.
Q: We are an ISP and are interested in reselling your service. Is it possible? Can we bundle your service with other services we provide?

Q: We are ISP based in Singapore. Can we use this service for our customers or service is being provided only in the UK?
A: Even if we have not installed a server in your international location yet, we are able to provide the service from Advascan™ servers located around the world (e.g. in Docklands, London.) However, if necessary we can discuses installing a server in your location or organize our Advascan On -Site solution for you.
Q: Can I still see virus infected messages which were trapped by Advascan?
A: Yes, all messages trapped by Advascan™ can be seen via the secure administrative interface. If you would want any infected message to be released to you, we can do it following a special request by you.
Q: We are interested in your service, but are concerned about e-mails going through a server not under our physical control. Can you provide a solution which can run locally on a server within our network?
A: In order to achieve complete security and confidentiality you can go for the Advascan™ On-site solution which has been designed for this specific application.
Q: Can Advascan™ protect from network intrusions as well?
A: Advascan™ is designed exclusively for scanning your e-mail traffic and will not provide other security services. However our high end firewall product Advaguard™ is a highly robust solution which has the best price-to-performance ratio on the market.
